RAD Recap for August 2, 2014

So as I’ve been going through my photos from California this week, I realized I took over 1,000 photos. ¬†I think I have a problem ūüôā ¬†I¬†have a few posts coming up in the next few weeks exploring my new love of Disneyland. ¬†Yes, that’s right I officially fell in love with Disneyland this trip…a VERY different experience from Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend last year.

In the meantime, enjoy this full ride through of Radiator Springs Racers from our trip!

Big runDisney news this week was the announcement of the Pixie Dust Challenge during the 2015 Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend.  Like the other half marathon weekend challenges, runners participating in both the Tinker Bell Half Marathon and the Tinker Bell 10K will receive an extra medal for completing both.  Early registration opens this Wednesday at noon EDT.  Will you be taking on this newest challenge??

runDisney also revealed the medals for this year’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. ¬†I love the spinner design of the Wine & Dine Half medal, but I’m really not a fan of the ribbon. ¬†What do you think?

Also this week Julia stopped by to share her transformation story and I shared some photos from our trip to the CrossFit Games.  Check it out!

  • Hmmm. The ribbon on that medal is a little different… I don’t think it’s awful, but it could be a little more vibrant.

I’m excited to see what the Marathon medals look like! So glad you had a great trip to CA!

  • Hi Sarah-

Thanks for showing the Wine and Dine Medals- I agree; the ribbon is not so great. The best efforts seem to go with the first year of the medal design. I wish they had the red /white stripe ribbon for the 5K as in the past- it was so cute. I guess they have to keep changing it up each year (?)
