I think I’m almost recovered from Princess Half Marathon weekend. It was a whirlwind of a trip and I honestly don’t even feel like I was there! This weekend I have slept for 10 hours each night so clearly I was run down a bit. While Disney race weekends are a ton of fun, they can be exhausting! 2:30 am wake up calls on top of trying to get in some fun touring the parks after the races, often translate to the need for a vacation after your race vacation 🙂
To catch you up a bit on what’s been going on with me, I’m thankfully on the mend and starting to feel better physically and emotionally. Well, besides some frustrating digestive issues as of late (what’s new?!), I think I’m on the road to recovery. “Think” being the key word because you never know with me! However, I did have a few follow up appointments to my surgery and it looks like everything went well. Yay!
In case you missed the announcement this past week, runDisney introduced a NEW race weekend in Disneyland, the Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon! This is a really exciting edition to the line up and I can’t want to see more details on the course and entertainment!
Also this week, early registration opened for the 2014 Wine & Dine Half Marathon. Annual Passholders and DVC Members can sign up now (it looks like Disney Visa Cardholders no longer can register early…not sure why) and registration for everyone is available Tuesday at noon. I’ll have all the information that you need about registration and the race weekend Tuesday morning. Get those wallets ready!
This week I also hope to get my recaps from the Glass Slipper Challenge done and I also have a few great guest posts lined up for you as well. If you have a story you would like to share from Princess Half Marathon Weekend, I’d LOVE to share it here. If you attended the Fit for a Princess Expo, the Happily Ever After Party, the Pasta in the Park Party or any of the other events over the weekend, those would be great additions. Shoot me an email at email@example.com and let me know if you are interested!
Have a great week!
