Big news was announced this week from runDisney about the all new Dopey Challenge taking place of the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in 2014. This challenge consists of 4 races and 48.6 miles over 4 days. The running elite are lining up to take on this challenge, but I know it’s not it my future. Is it in yours?
It’s been a busy week for me, but I managed to take a little time to get personal on RAD. A refreshing way to celebrate my 33 birthday 🙂 I don’t know about you, but my birthday is always a strange time for me. I usually do a lot of reflecting (obviously from my birthday post) and try not to make a huge deal out of it. I’m not great at being the center of attention so I always find all the birthday wishes a little uncomfortable, even though I secretly love it. Oh and the gifts…that’s always fun too. Full birthday recap coming tomorrow.
Anyway, here’s all that’s been going on if you missed it:

Kind of a slow week for me, but there was a lot going on around the blogosphere. Check out some of the RAD Reads I found:

Another not so stellar week, but I blame my cold earlier in the week and my birthday. Yes, I’m finding excuses and I hate that. Blech. Here’s my week and a always you can see my full WODs on my page on dailymile.
Sunday: Still Sick
Monday: CrossFit: Dead Lifts, Strict Press, Push Ups & Jump Rope
Tuesday: Rest (unplanned, but crazy sore from heavy DLs)
Wednesday: Birthday Rest
Thursday: CrossFit: Split Jerks, Rowing, Rope Slams
Monday’s WOD was crazy hard and I definitely used too much weight for the dead lifts. I actually felt like I was going to puke about halfway through the WOD but I pushed through. My lower back was incredibly sore the following day so I decided to take a few days off so as not to push it. I LOVE dead lifts, but I really have to watch myself because I have a tendency to over do it. The head coach did manage to get this pic of me…I make ridiculous faces!
I don’t know what’s going on, but I really need to snap out of this funk. I’m forcing myself to get out there and put in at least 4 miles today…this needs to happen. Then Chocolate Chili and Smoky Corn Chowder are on the menu as part of my meal prep for the week. Also 3 days of CrossFit need to happen for the week…NO EXCUSES!
What are your goals for the week?
