Oh nothing big happened this past week…I only ran a MARATHON! It’s still kind of surreal to me that I finished the race and completed this incredible milestone in my life. My recap will be coming this week…it’s taking quite a while to go through all my photos and wrap my brain around the experience. But in the meantime, Live, Run, Grow, Fit2Flex, Dr. Rachel Runs, We Run Disney, The Unlikely Competitor, Dan’s Marathon, and Illuminating Epcot all have great coverage from the weekend. I also registered for the Dumbo Double Dare this week so it looks like I’ll be headed out to Disneyland in August! I’ve never been there and I couldn’t be more excited to take part in this inaugural race on my first trip! Who else is taking the challenge?

Besides running the marathon, I had another great trip to Walt Disney World. I’m so happy B, my Mom and her husband were all able to be there and support me through the race. We had some fantastic meals and a lot of laughs…definitely the making of a great trip!
I was a bit sore after the race, but the worst part were the blisters that I got. Both feet got matching blisters on my little toes and the balls of my feet. It made walking incredibly painful, so any recovery runs were out of the question. I

Thursday: CrossFit – 1 hour – Bench Press, Squats & Dead Lifts
So next up is the Princess Half Marathon…the one year anniversary of my first half! It seems so much longer than a year. I can’t wait to run this race again…it’s so fun! 🙂 My goal for the next few weeks is to work on speed, so I see some Fartleks and Tempo runs in my future.
