Disney Sports announced in a press release today that there will be a “one-of-a-kind medal to mark the fifth anniversary” for Disney’s Princess Half Marathon. They sure know how to entice us princesses…special bling! I can’t wait to see what this will be. I love the races, but the medals really are my favorite part 🙂
Also announced was the theme of the 5K during Princess weekend, which will be the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Royal Family 5K. I have to say I’m a bit disappointed that they didn’t use this opportunity to promote their newest and bad ass Princess Merida from Brave. I had my fingers crossed for that, but seeing that it is the 5th anniversary maybe they were looking for something more traditional with Mickey and Minnie.
