1. This is my first half marathon and I haven’t run farther than 7.5 miles. What makes me think I can even finish the half, let alone a 5K and a half?!
2. I’m currently injured. I haven’t trained in 10 days because of my current state of psoas tendonitis. I’m feeling MUCH better, but still.
3. That’s 16.2 miles in 2 days, which is just ridiculous.
But now I’m doing it thanks to some serious peer pressure from my bestie and chief motivator Amanda and I have no regrets (yet)! We have a BIG group of friends doing the 5K as well, so I know I won’t be alone that morning. The plan is to walk most of the 5K and enjoy the atmosphere, as this will be a warm up for my legs for the half the next day. My goal is to take pictures with as many characters as I can, which is something I haven’t done in a Disney race before because I’ve been too concerned with time. I know there will be lots of laughs and it will be an experience I’ll never forget.
So yes, something is seriously wrong with me, but that’s ok…you only live once right?
