Love is in the air this Valentine’s Day! Since I love all of my RAD readers so much, I wanted to thank you for all of your love and support with a fun giveaway from Whosits and Whatsits!
“I’ve got gadgets and gizmos aplenty. I’ve got whosits and whatsits galore.”
– Ariel, The Little Mermaid
When I first went on the Whosits and Whatsits website, I immediately wanted EVERYTHING. I’m a huge Disneynerd, but I’m not a fan of wearing things that scream Disney. All of the items here are very stylish with a subtle nod to many Disney favorites. From shirts, sweatshirts, jewelry and hats, there is something for everyone.
By far my favorite item is the Neverland Beanie!
Since I live in the Northeast, you won’t find me outside without a beanie on my heard from November to March. This hat is SO CUTE!! It’s stylish and warm. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it and no one seems to get the “feather in the cap” reference until I point it out. Then they love it even more!
Well I have an extra Neverland Beanie just for you! You can enter to win through next Thursday, February 19th and I will announce the winner on Friday.

If you are like me, you are always looking for the latest and greatest products, but that often takes a lot of time and research to find things that work for you. It can also be costly! Subscription boxes are a great way to try new things without committing to buying large amounts of product and someone else is doing all of the research for you! We recently found one subscription that focuses solely on the needs of runners, Runnerbox! Today RAD contributor Jenna is here to give a review of the box and I might have a little surprise for you at the end…enjoy!
Runnerbox is both similar to and unique among sample subscription boxes. Where other box subscriptions might appeal to your vanity or your love for your pets, Runnerbox is designed to introduce runners to new products and discounts. I first heard of Runnerbox at their booth at the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Expo. They had specially selected items for a Wine and Dine themed-box, and were offering it for a reduced price with subscription.
The box was themed to pre-race, race day, and post-race, and included a variety of protein-rich, energy-enhancing snacks and beverages (favorites were the Lenny and Larry’s FIT Brownie; and Pure Clean Beet Juice powder drink mix) some great discounts for running products (30% off Zensah compression? Sign me up!); and some fun and useful items to get you in the race mood (the runDisney temporary tattoo was a bit of a bust, but the Mylar emergency blanket kept me warm and dry waiting for the race start in that cold drizzle). I love my little sneaker-shaped wine bottle stopper, too!
My first Runnerbox arrived at my house before I came home from vacation at the same time as my monthly beauty sample subscription box. I’ve been subscribing to the beauty box for a few years now, and that box was much the same as it’s always been: five items- no more, no less; two items that contain an ingredient I’m allergic to; a hair product that’s not particularly helpful to me (I have very short, fine, straight hair, so hair products don’t excite me at all); and one item I might actually like to use.
Compare that to Runnerbox. My first box was packed full of things to help keep my workout fueled and inspired. It was so full, in fact, that not all of the products fit in the box!
Opening the box, you get an inspirational quote and a guide to the contents.
Then? All these goodies!!
Runnerbox is a bimonthly subscription service, so you have more time to try out all of that good stuff before the next box arrives. Unlike many subscription services, these samples are not “sample sized,” and they don’t sell the products directly through their site. They have partnerships with manufacturers and often offer a discount code for ordering through the manufacturer, so if you get hooked on Orgain shakes or Powerful Yogurt bars, you can get a nice price break. They also include information and discounts on products that are a little more pricey. For instance, this box included 50% off Pacebands and 30% off Zensah. (Two lucky subscribers actually got a Zensah product IN their Runnerbox!)
Runnerbox has tiered pricing depending on how long you intend to subscribe. Prices range from $24.95 per box for a single gift box to $19.95 per box for a “perpetual” subscription. Runnerbox also offers Cyclebox and Tribox for cyclists and triathletes looking to try new products.
Thanks Jenna for the great review!! I was sent a Runnerbox to sample and was also pleasantly surprised by all of the goodies you get!! It’s kind of amazing all of the things that they fit into that tiny box. I even got a pair of Lock Laces…super cool!
Are you interested in trying out Runnerbox for yourself? Well I just might have something in store for you this week 🙂 It is my 3-year blogiversary after all!!! Stay tuned.

Eddie Bauer has always been synonymous with rustic outdoor activities like fishing, camping, hunting, etc… I remember having an Eddie Bauer backpack in middle school and it was awesome! So when I recently heard that they have a new line of performance wear I was both intrigued and a bit skeptical, but thankfully I was pleasantly surprised! Let’s take a look…
This is a great base layer for colder temps! The shirt is made from Eddie Bauer’s exclusive FreeHeat™ Pro polyester/spandex fabric, which actually helps to generate additional heat when worn against the skin by harnessing kinetic ultraviolet energy. So it keeps you very warm, but also helps to wick moisture from the skin to help avoid with chafing. Big win there. I also really like this turquoise color I got, but all the other colors are pretty cool too…green, purple and black.
Oh and it also has my favorite winter weather gear accessory…thumbholes!
This is by far my favorite piece because it’s so much more than activewear. This jacket is a great shell for colder days on top of the pullover and because it is also made of polyester/spandex fabric it is just as flexible. There is even Polartec® Power Dry® stretch fleece underarm panels for extra moisture wicking and breathability. It some great features, like a scuba-style hood the covers your entire neck and stays put even in super windy conditions.
How about this neat opening on the inside of the jacket into the right pocket for your headphones to fit though. No loose flying cords here!
Oh look…more thumbholes! These are great because the cuffs are stretchy to ensure a secure fit and the holes actually have a flap under them
This jacket has quickly become my go to both for exercise and in daily life. It’s perfect to throw on over a sweater to go out because it is lightweight but still super warm. I seriously love this thing!
Being vertically challenged, I have always found full length exercise pants and leggings to be a challenge. They are generally made for much taller people but these fit me great. There was still a small bit of bunching around the ankles by nothing like other pants I have tried.
These pants are super comfortable and form fitting….perfect for running or any other exercise. I rowed 6000 meters in them the other days and stayed cool and comfortable the whole time. There’s even a Power Mesh lining in the waist band to flatten the midsection so they make you look really good!
I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting a lot of these clothes before I got them. I’m not quite sure what I was expecting, but definitely not my new favorite workout clothes.
Good news is that Eddie Bauer is having a sale right now and all of these items are included. It’s the perfect way to stock up on your cold weather running gear to get a Christmas present for that runner in your life. Click on any of the links above to check out these items…I know you’ll love them!
Disclosure: Eddie Bauer provided the product and I was compensated for this campaign. All opinions are 100% my own.

A few weeks ago I posted the photo below of my new office and got a TON of questions about my bib and medal holders.
I told the great folks over at Running on the Wall about the interest and they kindly agreed to host an awesome giveaway for not one, but TWO medal holders! The best part is that they are both in the classic Walt Disney script font…how rad is that?!
The first holder has 9 hooks and is perfect for every runDisney Princess! It is bright pink and features a quote from Cinderella: “One shoe can change your life.” Everyone who has strapped on a running shoe sure knows that.
The second is a combination bib and medal holder with 9 hooks as well. The bibs are under the text “Running” and the medals are along the bottom of the holder.
So here’s what you need to do…below are two different entry forms, one for each holder. You may enter one or both giveaways, but the same person can not win both. If the same name is drawn, I will draw again for the second giveaway. You have until midnight on Tuesday, May 28th to enter. I will announce the winner next Wednesday, May 29th here on Running at Disney. You can have up to 7 initial entries and then come back once a day to tweet for a new entry!

I think that we can all agree that one of the things that make Disney races so fun are the costumes. People get so creative and it adds to the fun atmosphere. Tutus are generally the costume of choice for most women (and men!) and this is particularly true over Princess Half Marathon Weekend. Just look at all of these tutus!
When Missy from Tutu-da-loo reached out to me about her custom running tutus, I knew it would be the perfect thing to share will all of you RAD runners! Missy celebrated her 40th birthday by participating in Walt Disney World’s Inaugural Princess Half Marathon. This was her first race EVER! She had never been a runner and was, as she says “by no means in shape.” It was something she really wanted to do and with her sister by her side they did it!. Obviously, she was hooked!
While she had a wonderful experience, Missy admits to being jealous of everyone in their beautiful tutus. She wore a tiara but, it wasn’t quite the same as having a tutu on. The decision was then made that she MUST wear a tutu from that point forward. The tutu making began when a friend asked Missy to participate in her first race. Since then she has made tutus for many other runners and found such joy in making each and every one.
Tutu-da-loo specializes in custom tutus and can accommodate any special requests. You can pick from a number of colors and styles to create a one of a kind look! The tutus can be basic like these:
Or more elaborate like these:
Aren’t they fun?!
Now for the great news! Missy at Tutu-da-loo has offered to make one lucky RAD reader their own basic tutu from one to three colors! These will be like the white and pink ones above. Once the winner is picked, you will be able to work directly with Missy to pick your design! Simply use the forms below to enter up to 12 times…it’s that easy!
The contest will go until Sunday when I will select the winner and announce them in my RAD Recap for May 3, 2014. Good luck!
