RAD Recap for February 16, 2014

Are you all in a candy coma from Valentine’s Day? I’m in a bit of a cupcake coma and I think it’s about time for a detox. It’s just so hard to resist when you have an amazing cupcake place in town…plus they won Cupcake Wars!
This has been a week of recovery and reflection. I know I’ve hinted that there has been a lot going on with me and I finally decided to open up about it on RAD Living today….the good and the bad. Thank you to everyone for your love and support…I’m humbled and forever grateful.
Looking ahead, I am excited about Princess Half Marathon Weekend coming up! It is the perfect time to get away for some fun and I’m even more excited that B is coming with me. We both need to escape the cold weather and all of the heartache of the past few weeks…what better place to do that then at Walt Disney World?!
This week on RAD began with a look at the Dopey Challenge by Sparkly Runner Sarah, who also has some great tips on how to run these races smart!
Registration opened this week for the 2014 Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler in October. It looks like the races haven’t reached 50% capacity yet, so there is still time to get in!
The second Wednesday of the month means it’s time for another fun game of Kill, Refurb, Marry! This month’s theme was Live Musicals in the Parks. I’d love to hear what your picks would be!
And finally, I put together all of the info you will need to navigate Princess Half Marathon Weekend, including corral assignments, course maps, transportations times…you name it! These race weekends can get overwhelming, so I hope having everything in one place helps! Who will be picking up these beauties next weekend?!?
And please don’t forget…If you see me around next weekend, STOP ME AND SAY HI! One of my favorite things about race weekends is getting to meet so many new people and put faces to the names I have been chatting with online for so long. Tweet me, send me a Facebook message, or reach out on Instagram. I will be all over the World and would love to meet up!
Have a great week and thank you again to everyone for your love and support…I’ll never be able to express how much this has all meant to me and my family 🙂
You are so lucky! I am dying to a Disney half. It is actually one of my goals for next year. Good luck and have fun!
You should definitely make it one of your goals…they are really fun!
Mmmm cupcakes! My husband and I love trying out the different cupcake bakeries in Houston :0) Even better when they compete/win on Cupcakes Wars!
They come in so many different varieties now! So fun!
Good luck at the Glass Slipper Challenge!! I’m hoping to do my first Disney run in January 🙂
BTW– Those cupcakes look amazeballs!! Great thing about running is you can eat stuff like this and not feel too bad!
Thanks so much! Hope to see you next January 🙂
I’m totally with you on that…I think if I didn’t run or do CrossFit, I would be the size of a house given all the calories I take in. HAHA!
