RAD Reads and Weekly Review: September 9, 2013
|September 9, 2013||Posted by Running at Disney under RAD Reads, RAD Recaps, Weekly Review|
This has been a seriously whirlwind few weeks and I’m hoping a week on the beach will allow me to come up for air a bit. I’m working on my Disneyland race recaps, some amazing dining reviews and eagerly anticipating The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler info to be released. Plus I have a TON of plans for RAD Living…it’s just a matter of finding time. Why is there never enough??
Hopefully this inspiration will give me the kick in the butt I need!
Here’s what I’ve been up to on Running at Disney these past few weeks:
- Packing for Race Weekends
- 2013 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend Merchandise
- 2013 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend, Oh The Fun We Had!
- A Mad runDisney Meet Up Through Disneyland!
- Friday Feast: Pre-Race Meal at Tortilla Jo’s
And here’s what’s been happening over on RAD Living:
- Breathtaking Views and Music History at Red Rocks Park
- My Journey West Has Left Me Speechless
- I Made It! Anxiety and All…
Now on to some RAD Reads!

This Happy Place has a very interesting critique of Under the Sea: The Journey of the Little Mermaid and I completely agree with her.
A Pinch of Pixie Dust have fun decorating cookies at Boma.

The Disney Blog contemplates if Google could solve Walt Disney World’s transportation problems.
Aside from serious chafing, I felt great after completing the Dumbo Double Dare last weekend. So much so that I went back to CrossFit on Tuesday and got a great workout in. It was nice to balance out all the lower body work I had been doing the past few days with some upper body moves. My FitBit tracked 54 miles over my 5 days in Disneyland…damn.
Here are the rest of my workouts from this week and to view a complete list of WODs, visit my dailymile page.
Sunday: Disneyland Half Marathon
Tuesday: CrossFit: Power Cleans & Hasselhoff
Thursday: CrossFit: Strict & Push Press, Dead Lifts, Burpees & AD
Oh the docket for this week at the beach, a 5 hour kayak tour tomorrow, a few short runs and I’m might try to hit up the local CrossFit place, Treasure Coast CrossFit. Has anyone been there? Oh and a whole lot of belly laughs…can’t wait for those!
Have a great week and remember to Be RAD!
