I’m a Marathoner!

I never thought I would ever say “I’m a marathoner” but today it is the truth. It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, but I finished it. Wow.

Right now, I’m about to take a well deserved nap, but you can check my Instagram and Twitter accounts for my blow by blow of the race. A full recap will come later this week (hopefully!).

Big congrats to everyone who completed a race this weekend. You all inspire me everyday. And a huge THANK YOU to everyone who ran with me, cheered for me and supported me via text and social media during the race. I don’t think I would’ve made it without your encouragement. xoxo

  1. Congratulations!! It was brutal!

  2. Congratulations!!

I’ve been reading your blog since you started and you inspired me to do a Disney race. Next weekend I’ll be doing my first 5K during the Tinkerbell Weekend and then I’m gonna start training for the Disneyland 10K in August. Thanks for being such an inspiration to me and everyone else!

Wow.. I’m a bit speechless and incredibly humbled Christina…THANK YOU!
You are going to be awesome in the 5K next weekend…I so wish I could be there to cheer you on! Please come back and let me know how it goes.
I’m hoping to make it out to Disneyland for the half in August…we need to meet up if I do.
GOOD LUCK and send me pics 😉

I am very impressed. Your dad told me about you run and I have to admit I was surprised. I knew you did 1/2’s but a full is a huge step from what I hear. Good for you. Where is the next one going to be. Or is this the beginning of the the next 20 year group?

Thanks so much Tom! I have to say, I surprised myself when I signed up too!
I think this might be my one and only full. I really enjoy half marathons, but this was a whole different ball game. Who knows… 🙂

  4. Congrats marathoner!!!!

  5. For some time there have been more women than men finishers in road races between 5K and the half marathon, but not the full. This is the first full marathon I’ve seen in which there were more women finishers. I think this is quite a milestone – although I congratulate all finishers and especially those who completed their first marathon.

  6. Congrats on your first! That was tough weather for anyone to finish a full in – way to push through!
