Friday Feast: The DFB Mini-Guide to the 2012 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

I can’t believe the 2012 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is only 2 weeks away!! As sad as I am to see the summer go, I look forward to this event every year. This will be my 4th year attending the festival and I enjoy it more each year. I have learned over this time that to get the most out of your visit to the festival, you need to plan. There 29 Marketplace Booths and an overwhelming number of special events, culinary demonstrations and wine tasting….where do you begin??
Last year I got the DFB Mini-Guide to the 2012 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival e-Book and it was a life saver! The book features a full, daily schedule of events for each day of the 46-day festival. This level of detail, organized by day, can’t be found anywhere else online or in print. It is the perfect tool to help plan what events you want to book, and it’s a great feature to use on your mobile device when you’re at the Festival.
The DFB Mini-Guide to the 2012 Epcot Food & Wine Festival e-Book features all the info you need to know before you attend the Food and Wine Festival this year, from what’s NEW, to touring strategies and a brand new FAQ section. Included in this edition are several bonus items like:
- A full, daily schedule of events for every day of the festival
- Eleven themed World Showcase booth crawls (these are so fun!!)
- Food and Wine Festival customized Touring Strategies for One Day visits, Budget-Conscious visits, visits with kids, and more
- A chapter dedicated to all “New for 2012″ events, menu items, booths, and more
- Full food, wine, beer, winery, and chef indexes, including dates and locations of where you can find your favorites
- And more!
One of my favorite features is the information on all of the Marketplace Booths. Each World Showcase booth has its own page, complete with photos of the booths AND food as well as a full menu. This gets me so excited for what is to come and makes it easy to plan out which ones I want to visit. The photos are also great if you are not familiar with a particular dish or ingredient. Here’s what you’ll find at the Hawaii booth:
Another great feature are the special event listings. Between the large events, like Party for the Senses, and the smaller culinary demonstrations, there is A LOT to keep track of. The Guide has a full daily schedule of events complete with times. Looking to see Air Supply at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, but don’t know what time and date they are performing? Look no further!
This year, there is a brand new FAQ section answering broad and not-so-broad questions like “Are the booths open in the rain?”, “Are the booths open during Extra Magic Hours?”, and “Is there a way to pay one price for an all-you-can-eat option?” If you have a question, the DFB Mini-Guide is sure to have the answer!
So, what’s better than having this awesome e-book downloaded to your phone as you walk around the Festival or on your laptop as you’re planning your trip?? Getting it at a discount!! As we countdown to opening day of the Festival, you can receive $3 off your purchase of the DFB Mini-Guide to the 2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival e-Book by using the discount code COUNTDOWN.
