Friday Feast: The DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining
|June 29, 2012||Posted by Running at Disney under Disney Dining, Friday Feast|
It’s no secret that I am a HUGE fan of the restaurants in Walt Disney World. In fact, I plan most of my trips around where I will be eating and longingly dream of the Epcot Food & Wine Festival throughout the year. So it’s not surprising that one of my favorite websites is The Disney Food Blog (DFB) where they churn out TONS of information on all things Disney food related. DFB has come out with a fantastic line of e-books to help both Disney newbies and veterans alike plan for their next vacation. One of my favorites is The DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining, a huge 321 page resource that is full of helpful tips and mouth watering photos.
If you’ve ever been to Walt Disney World, you know that the dining options can be very overwhelming with hundreds of restaurants to choose from. It can also be VERY expensive. Proper planning will help you make those tough decisions on where to eat and also save you quite a bit of money. This is where the DFB Guide comes in. It provides and easy 5-step guide to planning your dining and help you determine your budget, create a calendar, personalize your meals, learn about the WDW restaurants and make your reservations. It even comes with downloadable spreadsheets to help you in the process! It’s so easy that you can plan your entire vacation all in one day.
My favorite thing about the guide are all of the great tips. AJ and the DFB team have done a lot of research (I’m totally jealous!) to help us find the best meals and the best values on WDW property. The guide includes tips such as the Top 5 Table-Service Restaurants on a Budget, Where to Get Free Food in WDW, and Alternatives to Popular Character Meals, just to name a few. And then there is the Disney Dining At-A-Glance section, that answers any question you may have. Where to find the best popcorn, a place to propose, exotic eats, the least expensive buffet, and the list goes on and on.
Oh and I can’t forget the DFB Scavenger Hunts! I’m a sucker for a good scavenger hunt and when you combine it with food, it doesn’t get much better. These are a great way to learn more about some of the unique offerings Disney has while on your vacation.
I’ve found the DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining incredibly useful in planning meals for my trips and it has saved me money along the way. I thought I knew everything there was to know about Disney dining, but boy was I wrong! Click here to get one for yourself…trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
Oh and if you’re looking for something more specific when it comes to your Disney dining, DFB has numerous mini-guides as well…check them out!
